all torn up
This post basically turned into an Izze promo...it was really hot outside and an ice cold beverage was SO necessary- you're welcome Izze. These photos were taken along the Beltline (by the lovely Sabrina Fattal), which I think has been one of Atlanta's coolest urban development projectsover the past few years. The Beltline is built along the railroad that formerly surrounded the city of Atlanta and will ultimately connect 45 in-town neighborhoods, including Grant Park, Cabbagetown, Inman Park, Poncey-Highland, and Midtown (my favorite parts of city). It is decorated with a variety of art installations and submerged in paint and graffiti. I really love the color-splattered wall right by Piedmont Park...it's so happy and full of life, and if you look closely you'll find a Tiny Door hidden amongst the bright colors. Each neighborhood touched by the Beltline has its own unique character and the respective section of the trail embodies that quirky sense of individuality. If you are not a local but get the chance to visit Atlanta, definitely check out the Beltline.
I really liked the layering of this look and the combination of rugged and chic. I think torn denim and black lace are such an enchanting pair. I love how the bronzy gold necklace picked up the bronze shades in both the belt buckle and my eye makeup and glimmered in the setting sunlight. I know I've said this a million times on my blog, but I am so excited for the weather to cool down and fade into autumn so I can comfortably wear more looks like this. To top off the look, I added a black duster which gives me the same empowering, queen-like feeling as a cape. Follow me on my adventure from the Beltline all the way over to a delicious taco stand (tacos not pictured...I don't look my best when shoving my face full with food- sorry).
Thank you for reading lovelies!
